Dr. Fomenko’s research focuses on workers’ compensation, health-care pricing, medical fee schedules, and how payment and delivery policies affect costs and outcomes. Her work covers medical prices and inflation, hospital outpatient payments, provider networks and consolidation, fee schedules, injured-worker outcomes, and the effects of extreme heat. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
