This 15th edition CompScope™ Medical Benchmarks study examines medical costs, prices, and utilization in Indiana and compares them with 15 other states (Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin). The report examines how these metrics of medical costs and care have changed from 2007 to 2012 (evaluated in 2013). The study also provides findings from other WCRI reports to give the reader a deeper understanding of other aspects of the Indiana workers’ compensation system, such as physician dispensing of drugs, narcotics use, and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) facility payments.
