The 15th edition of CompScope™ Medical Benchmarks for Illinois provides results of the 30 percent reduction in the fee schedule rates (effective for services on/after September 1, 2011) on prices paid as well as on overall medical payments per claim compared with the other study states (Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin). The major findings in this report are based on claims with experience through March 31, 2013. The study also provides findings from other WCRI reports to give the reader a deeper understanding of other aspects of the Illinois workers’ compensation system, such as narcotics use and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) facility payments.
