This 15th edition of CompScope™ Benchmarks provides information for Virginia policymakers and stakeholders on the performance of the state’s workers’ compensation system by examining medical costs, income benefits, duration of disability, benefit delivery expenses, litigiousness, timeliness of payment, and other metrics. The study compares these metrics in Virginia to similar measures from 16 other states (Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin) and examine drivers of changes in these metrics from 2008 to 2013 (evaluated in 2014).
