The 15th edition of CompScope™ Benchmarks for Massachusetts can help policymakers and other system stakeholders identify current cost drivers and emerging trends for a wide variety of workers’ compensation cost components such as indemnity benefits, duration of temporary disability, lump-sum settlements, medical payments, and benefit delivery expenses. It also shows total costs per claim and their cost components in Massachusetts compared with the 16 other study states (Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin). This study covers the time period of 2008 to 2013, for claims with experience through March 2014.
