This 16th edition CompScope™ report benchmarks the performance of state workers’ compensation systems in 18 states, focusing on income benefits, overall medical payments, costs, use of benefits, duration of disability, litigiousness, benefit delivery expenses, timeliness of payment, and other metrics. It also examines how these system performance metrics have changed from 2008 to 2014. We analyzed claims with experience through March 2015 for injuries up to and including 2014. Claims in 2014/2015 represent injuries with on average 12 months of maturity that occurred after House Bill (HB) 154 in Georgia went into effect in July 2013. These claims also represent up to 11 months of experience after the outpatient fee schedule change in Georgia became effective in May 2014.
