Although infrequent, air ambulance transport plays a critical role in workers’ compensation, providing rapid transport and life-saving measures for those critically injured on the job – but at what cost?

According to the recent Flash Report released by the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute (WCRI),  the cost of air ambulance transport continues to rise nationwide, raising concerns among not only state regulators and policymakers, but also employers and insurers.
