Patrick Robinson, of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), gave a radio interview on Talk 107.3 FM - Baton Rouge on the subject of workers’ compensation legislation currently being debated at the state house. He references our research, without naming us, on how temporary disability stretches to more than 30 weeks in Louisiana while claims in neighboring states last about 13 to 15 weeks. He said the gap drives up costs for employers and insurers. It also delays recovery and return-to-work timelines for employees.
The statistics to which Robinson refers come from CompScope™ Benchmarks for Louisiana, 2025 Edition. Visit its page on our website for more information, including on how to download a copy.
