Table 7  Urgent Care Fee Regulations as of January 1, 2008
Urgent care centers are free standing (meaning not usually connected to a hospital) clinics created to respond to the need for medical treatment "after hours" as a less expensive alternative to emergency room services for treatment of non-emergent care.  States that regulate other facility fees, must decide which method of fee regulation they will apply to these entities. This tables itemizes the type of fee regulation states have decided to apply to these facilities.
